“Not measured” means NeoRank has no measurement for that value: the source is not connected, not read yet, or does not exist in the product. It is never a zero: a zero would mean “measured, and nil”. Hover the label: the tooltip gives the exact reason and, often, the action that will fill the card.
What are the different absence labels?
“Not measured” with the tooltip “Market data provider retired”: the value came from the provider retired on 26/09/2026 and no native source replaces it yet. “Not read yet”: no reading recorded so far — it will appear after the next sync or analysis. “Not reported” / “No market data”: the source answered with no value for that item. “Connect Google Analytics 4” or “Search Console not connected”: the connector is missing. “Not offered by NeoRank” (dashed border): no measurable source exists in the product for that figure, and nothing is invented in its place.
Why does a chart show gaps?
A day without a reading is a gap in the line, never a zero. Google publishes Search Console data with a 2 to 3 day delay, so the latest days may be missing. A chart needs at least two measured values to draw a line; otherwise the single value is written as text.
How do I run an analysis?
In the dashboard header, enter the domain and click “Analyse”. The analysis crawls the site with the NeoRank Engine and queries the configured sources; the cards update when it finishes. On the site audit, “Run the crawl again” starts a full crawl (included in paid plans).
Open your account menu (avatar, top right) then “Change plan · Pricing & plans”, which leads to /pricing. “Subscription details” shows your current plan, your latest invoices and the “Manage or change plan” button. Cancelling goes through the billing portal; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
Where do I see my usage?
In “Subscription details”, the “Plan usage” panel shows, for the current month (UTC), used versus limit for each quota: tracked sites, seats, audits, crawled pages, tracked keywords, AI queries, scheduled reports, client workspaces. “Not included” means the capability does not exist on your plan; “Unlimited” means it has no cap.
What happens when I reach a quota?
The action is refused with a message saying so (for example “The monthly crawl or page quota is reached”): no overage is charged. Move to a higher plan from /pricing, or wait for next month for monthly quotas. Downgrading keeps your data.
Does the free plan include AI?
No monthly AI budget. The free plan covers the SEO essentials: no recurring observation in AI engines, no AI generation. One exception: a one-time free AI snapshot per account — 3 questions about your site asked to at most 2 AI engines, started from the site's dashboard. The monthly AI budget (the NeoRank Intelligence credits) comes with SEO + AI, Growth, Pro, Agency and Enterprise, not with the SEO plan. Details are on /pricing.
How do I secure my account?
From settings, the Security card leads to two-factor authentication (TOTP app), passkeys, recovery codes and the list of open sessions.
Why “AI budget used up” when I still have Research questions left?
The AI budget is the organisation's monthly ceiling on AI cost and volume, sized by its plan's NeoRank Intelligence credits (see /docs/billing#ai-budget). On a paid plan that includes an AI budget, each NeoRank Research question counts twice: one question against the plan's daily quota, and its cost against the organisation's monthly AI budget — the same budget as AI-visibility measurements, paid Chat messages and, where it is enabled, Neo AI. Sustained daily use can therefore use up the month's budget before the month ends while questions for the day remain. Research then shows “Your organisation's monthly AI budget is used up” and counts no question for the day. This budget follows the UTC calendar month, not the subscription's anniversary date: it restarts on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC. To continue sooner, move to a higher plan from /pricing; usage is shown in My account › Subscription (/account/subscription).
How many Research questions do I get per day?
Without an account: 3 questions per day per address. With an account: your organisation's plan's daily quota, shown in the comparison on /pricing (row “NeoRank Research questions / day”) and, for the current day, in My account › Subscription (/account/subscription). It is shared by the whole organisation and restarts every day at 00:00 UTC. Sign in to go beyond the visitors' limit; a member invited read-only gets a free account's quota.
What happens on the SEO plan?
The SEO plan includes no AI budget. Its Research questions, within the plan's daily quota, are covered by NeoRank from a daily capacity shared by the paid plans without an AI budget, separate from the one of visitors and the free plan. If that capacity is reached, Research says so (“NeoRank Research has reached today's limit”); it restarts at 00:00 UTC.
Go to /settings/connectors, pick the source (Google Search Console or Google Analytics 4), enter the property — for example “sc-domain:example.com” or “https://example.com/” for Search Console, “properties/123456789” for GA4 — then click “Connect with Google”. If what you typed matches no property of your Google account, NeoRank lists the ones that account can read: pick yours from the list (the choice is valid for ten minutes, once). The dashboard's “Connect Search Console” or “Connect Google Analytics 4” buttons lead to the same place.
Google shows “unverified app”: is that normal?
Yes, for now. While NeoRank's Google app is in testing with Google, the sign-in screen may show a “Google hasn't verified this app” warning. The advanced link on that screen lets you continue to NeoRank. The access requested stays read-only (Search Console and Analytics).
Search Console connection fails: why?
The Google account used must be a verified user of the Search Console property you entered; for GA4, the property must appear in your Analytics account. Also check the property format (“sc-domain:” prefix for a domain property, full URL with a trailing “/” for a URL-prefix property).
Connected but no data: what should I do?
“Connected, no day received” means the link works but the first sync has not reported a day yet. Wait for it; if nothing arrives, check on /settings/connectors that the state is not “Degraded”, “Error” or “Access revoked”, and reconnect if needed.
Automatic fixes (WordPress and Shopify) — coming soon
Can NeoRank fix my WordPress site?
Coming soon: automatic fixes are not active yet, and NeoRank applies no change to your site today. Once active — Yes, only after your approval. Install the NeoRank Connect plugin, generate a pairing code in Settings › Connectors (valid ten minutes, once) and paste it in WordPress › Settings › NeoRank Connect. In an audit issue's panel, “Propose a fix” shows the exact before and after; “Apply” writes it, NeoRank checks the page, and “Undo” stays available for 30 days.
Can NeoRank fix my Shopify store?
Coming soon: automatic fixes are not active yet, and NeoRank applies no change to your site today. Once active — Yes, only after your approval. In Settings › Connectors › Shopify, enter the store's name.myshopify.com address and install the NeoRank app; the connector turns Connected when the store's primary domain is the site's domain. On Shopify, NeoRank fixes SEO titles and meta descriptions (products, collections, pages, blog posts), product image alt text, structured data (turn on the “NeoRank JSON-LD” app embed once in the theme editor) and redirects. The /llms.txt file and links in content stay guided.
What can NeoRank change?
Coming soon: automatic fixes are not active yet, and NeoRank applies no change to your site today. Once active — Only: SEO title, meta description, image alt text, JSON-LD structured data, 301 redirects, one internal link in a post's content and the /llms.txt file — on published content. Never users, orders, theme files or settings. Canonicals, hreflang, noindex, robots.txt, viewport, language and speed stay guided: no automatic change.
What if the fix does not work?
Coming soon: automatic fixes are not active yet, and NeoRank applies no change to your site today. Once active — NeoRank reads the page again a few minutes later. If the issue is still there, the original value is restored automatically and the history says so; that fix does not count against your quota. If the value changed on your site between the proposal and the write, nothing is written: the fix is proposed to you again.
How do I remove NeoRank's access?
Coming soon: automatic fixes are not active yet, and NeoRank applies no change to your site today. Once active — In NeoRank, “Revoke” on the WordPress or Shopify card; or in WordPress, “Disconnect” on the NeoRank Connect page; or in Shopify, uninstall the NeoRank app. You can also pause fixes for a site without disconnecting it.
Account menu → “Manage users” → “Invite a colleague”: enter the email, choose a role, then “Invite”. You can also use the team section of settings. The invitation is for one workspace and expires after 7 days. The number of seats depends on your plan (pending invitations count).
Which roles exist?
Administrator, Strategist, Analyst, Editor and Client viewer. Some actions depend on the role: for example, a role that is not allowed gets “Your role does not allow starting a crawl”.
Tables offer “Export as CSV”: overview tracked keywords, rankings, keywords, gaps, pages, referring domains, competitors, traffic, Search Console queries, audit issues and crawled pages. The export contains the rows shown, in the order shown, with raw values (empty where nothing is measured).
How do I get a PDF report?
The header's “Report” button opens the site's SEO, AEO & GEO intelligence report: authority, AI visibility, organic traffic, technical health, AI engines and keywords. Tick the sections you want then “Print / PDF”: the browser's print dialog lets you save as PDF. Missing values are written “Not measured”.
Can I send reports automatically?
Yes, on plans that include scheduled reports: from the Reports page, “New custom report” lets you choose a name, a cadence (every Monday, every other Monday, first of the month) and recipients. Recipients receive an email linking to the dashboard.
The header's globe button shows “GLOBAL” or the chosen country. Its list contains “Global (all countries)” and the countries Search Console measured, with their clicks. The filter narrows only the Search Console figures (overview KPIs, keyword table, history); AI, audit, links and market data stay global. A “Country filter” banner offers “Back to Global”. The choice is remembered.
How do I choose the period?
On the overview, the period picker offers 7 d, 28 d (default), 90 d, 6 months, 12 months or “Dates…” for a custom range. Figures are compared with the previous period of the same length; the “Period read” line gives the number of days with data. The range is limited to the days NeoRank holds.
What does the header's “AI engines” pill show?
“AI engines 6/6” (for example) counts the verified AI engines that observations can query. The dot is green when all are, amber when some are, grey when none is or the state is not measured on the page. Click it: each engine is listed with its state (“verified”, “not verified”, or “activating” for an engine not enabled yet). The animation shows the connection, not a request in progress.
What is Neo AI?
The dashboard's SEO, AEO and GEO analyst, where it is enabled: the header's “Neo AI” button opens a panel where you ask about the site shown. It reads that site's measured data read-only, cites the source of every figure, says what to connect when data is missing and changes nothing. The number of questions per day depends on the plan. Details: /docs/neo-ai.
The /support page brings together the NeoRank AI assistant (an AI) and the “Talk to a human” form, routed to the right address by topic; /contact lists every address (Enterprise, agencies, personal data, security). Requests are answered in the order they arrive. Include the URL of the page concerned, the analysis ID if you have it, what you expected and what you got, and the time with your time zone.
How do I exercise my data rights?
The privacy policy (/legal/privacy) describes your rights — access, rectification, erasure, portability — and the address to exercise them. There is no self-service account deletion or full data export button yet.
What this page is for — The overview brings your measured SEO figures — Search Console clicks and impressions, positions, authority, technical health, GA4 channels — and your visibility in AI engines' answers onto one page. Every card reads a measurement; otherwise it says what was not measured and why.
Where do the overview figures come from?
Clicks, impressions, CTR, average position and geographic split: Google Search Console. AI share of voice, mentions and observed answers: the last three AI observation runs. Technical findings: the latest NeoRank Engine crawl. NeoRank authority score: the public Common Crawl graph (release and date shown). Referring domains, volumes and difficulty: historical readings of the retired market-data provider. Channels and devices: Google Analytics 4. Clicking a KPI opens the matching tab.
Why does a card show “Not measured” here?
Every card gives its reason. “Search Console not connected”: link it on /settings/connectors. “No AI query set defined”: track a prompt in AI visibility then run an observation. “Never crawled”: run an analysis. “Paid keywords” is not measured: NeoRank does not read other advertisers' ads; the search terms of your own Google Ads account, when connected, are in the Advertising tab. “Traffic value” too: a volume times a CPC does not measure your visits.
What does the “Action plan” button in the keyword table do?
It opens the keyword's resolution panel: current position (saying when it is a Search Console average), change, volume and difficulty, “Where to act” (the ranking page or target page), “What to aim for”, the steps, the Google results read at the latest check with your rows highlighted, and the position history.
What does “AI status” mean in the tracked keywords table?
It shows which AI engines cited your site or named your brand when answering a tracked prompt carrying exactly the keyword's text. “Not cited”: the prompt was asked and nobody cited you. “Not measured”: no tracked prompt carries that text — add it in AI visibility.
Are the position bands real rank checks?
Yes for a keyword the market-data provider, retired on 26/09/2026, had checked: it is its latest, historical and dated check. Without a check, the card uses the Search Console average position weighted by impressions and says so (“Search Console average… not a rank check”).
What this page is for — AI visibility tracks your brand's place in the answers of ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and DeepSeek (and xAI's Grok where it is enabled; otherwise its tile says “Activating”): share of voice, mentions, cited pages, sentiment, and AI crawlers' access to your site. You also manage your tracked prompts and run observations here.
How are these figures obtained?
During an observation run, NeoRank asks your tracked prompts to the verified engines and records each answer, the brands named and the sources cited. KPIs cover the last three finished runs. Share of voice is your brand's share of all mentions; the header's “GEO score” is that share of voice.
How do I track a prompt and run an observation?
Enter the prompt (between 3 and 1,500 characters), choose “All verified engines” or a single engine, then “Track this prompt”. Then click “Run the observation”. Observation uses your AI quota: it requires a paid plan. The trash icon removes a prompt from tracking.
What do the “Resolve” and “Details” buttons contain?
On an uncited prompt, “Resolve” opens its panel: answers read, who cites or names you, the sites cited instead of you, what to aim for, the steps and answer excerpts per engine. On an engine tile, “Details” shows share of voice, cited pages, where to act and the list of uncited prompts. The crawler, /llms.txt and Schema.org tiles each open a panel with an example and fix steps.
Why does an engine or tile show “Not measured”?
“Not sampled”: the prompt has not been answered yet. An engine not verified by the administrator is not queried. The “AI-ready” tiles are not measured if robots.txt or /llms.txt could not be read, or if there is no crawl yet for JSON-LD. The “AI Overview (Google)” tile is never queried: it stays “Not measured” until a manual reading is recorded (“Check in Google”), then shows those readings, labelled “manual reading — not automated”.
How do I measure Google's AI Overview?
Google has no API for its AI Overviews and NeoRank does not query Google. Two paths: 1) Search Console counts AI Overviews and AI Mode clicks and impressions in the “Web” type without separating them — so they are included in your Search Console figures; the “Generative AI performance” report (impressions) exists only in the Search Console interface. 2) The manual reading: “Check in Google” opens the prompt in your browser, then you record whether an AI Overview shows and whether it cites your site. The tile shows the share of checked queries, dated; a reading older than 30 days is flagged stale.
What this page is for — Query sets lists your GEO query sets — tracked prompts grouped by category — with each set's AI share of voice and the engine where your brand is most present.
How is a set's share of voice calculated?
Over the last three AI observations: the answers mentioning your brand over the answers obtained for the set's prompts. A set with no answer shows “Not measured”, never 0 %.
Why is “Average volume” not measured?
A conversational prompt has no search volume, unlike a Google keyword: nothing is estimated.
How do I create a set?
Track a prompt from AI visibility: it joins a query set. Observations are also run from AI visibility; this view has no run button, resolution panel or export.
What does “Check in Google” on a prompt do?
It opens the prompt's Google search in a new tab of your browser (NeoRank does not query Google), then a short form records what you saw: AI Overview shown or not, your site cited or not, the cited URL, the date and a note. These readings feed the “AI Overviews (Google)” tile, apart from the engines' observations. A client viewer can see them, not record them.
What this page is for — Rank tracking shows where your tracked keywords rank on Google, their change between two checks, the presence of a Google AI Overview and citations by AI engines.
Where does the position shown come from?
First from the latest dated results-page check by the market-data provider, retired on 26/09/2026 (historical checks). Otherwise — and for any new keyword — from the Search Console average position (weighted by impressions over the last 28 reported days), tagged “GSC”: it is an average over the window, not a dated check. The line under the title says how many positions come from each source.
Why does “Change” show “Not measured”?
Two ranked checks are needed to compute a change. After a single check, the Top 3 / Top 10 / Top 20 KPIs show “Single reading: no change yet”. “Not ranked” means a check exists but your site was not in it.
How are “Citations in AI engines” counted?
They come from AI observations, on every verified engine (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Grok, Meta AI: those that are active). A keyword is measured when a tracked prompt contains its text (case, accents and punctuation ignored, whole words) or was created from it; per engine, its latest answer says whether it cited your site, named your brand, neither, or has not answered yet, with the date. If the card is empty, “Track the top N keywords in AI engines” creates those prompts (preview, estimated cost and remaining AI budget shown, within 25 prompts per site), then “Start observation” asks the engines.
What does the “Action plan” button offer?
It opens the keyword's panel: current position, change, volume and difficulty, why the situation matters (not ranked, page two, top 10…), the page to act on — with a warning if the ranking page differs from the target page —, the position to aim for, the steps, the Google results read and the check history. The table exports with “Export as CSV”.
What this page is for — Keyword research explores your tracked keywords from the demand side: volume, difficulty, market CPC, intent, and AI answer triggers. It filters your tracked keywords; it does not suggest new keyword ideas.
Where do volume, difficulty (KD) and CPC come from?
From the market-data provider retired on 26/09/2026: its historical readings stay shown with their date; a keyword it never read shows “Not measured”. Difficulty is shown only when it comes from a real difficulty measurement; a legacy ad-competition index is left “Not measured”. CPC is a market price, not your spend.
How do I use the filters?
The search field filters by broad, phrase, exact or related match; add an intent filter and a difficulty filter (easy, medium, hard). Keywords marked “Gap” come from the competitive analysis.
Why do some rows show “Not measured” or “Not read yet”?
“Not measured”: the keyword has no reading from the market-data provider, retired on 26/09/2026, and no native source replaces it yet — nothing is estimated in its place. “Not read yet”: no reading recorded so far. “Not reported”: the source answered with no value for this keyword. Your real queries stay visible in Search Console.
What can I do with the results?
“Action plan” opens the same resolution panel as in Rank tracking. “Copy JSON” copies the filtered rows; “Export as CSV” downloads them.
What this page is for — Keyword gap lists the searches where competitors rank and your site is missing or behind, to decide which pages to create or strengthen.
What do Missing, Weak, Shared and Strong mean?
Missing: your site has no position on the search. Weak: it ranks beyond the top 10. Shared: it is in the top 10 alongside competitors. Strong: it is ahead of every measured competitor. The filter chips use these types.
Where do competitor positions come from?
“Competitor 1” comes from the retired market-data provider's historical readings (domain intersection) or, otherwise, from the stored results-page snapshot, whose date is shown. “Competitor 2” is the next domain on that snapshot.
The table is empty: why?
Gaps came from the results-page snapshots of the market-data provider, retired on 26/09/2026: only its historical readings stay shown, and no new gap is computed until a native source replaces it. “Never analysed” in the header means no analysis has happened yet.
What does “Action plan” contain?
The gap's panel: volume, difficulty and CPC, why the gap matters, the Google search concerned with its reading date, the position to aim for, the steps (create a dedicated page if the keyword is missing, otherwise enrich the existing page, then track the keyword in Rank tracking) and the competitors with their source. “Copy” copies the keyword; the table exports to CSV.
What this page is for — Keyword clusters groups your tracked keywords into topic clusters built by the analysis, with their pillar page, total volume and coverage. Same header and KPIs as Keyword gap; only the lower part changes.
How are clusters built?
They are computed during an analysis from your tracked keywords. Each cluster shows its keywords, pillar page (or “none”), total volume (sum of the retired provider's historical volumes), average difficulty, main intent, funnel stage, coverage and any detected cannibalisation.
No cluster appears: what should I do?
“No cluster built for this site”: clusters appear after an analysis of the tracked keywords. Track keywords, then run an analysis.
Why is the “Writing recommendation” not measured?
The product does not compute a writing brief per cluster yet: the card says so rather than inventing advice. This view has no resolution panel and no CSV export; use Keyword gap for action plans.
What this page is for — Backlinks and authority first shows the inbound links the NeoRank Engine itself observed in its native corpus (partial coverage, not a worldwide index), with explained spam signals per domain, then the retired market-data provider's historical readings.
What is the “NeoRank Engine (native corpus, partial coverage)” section?
The live source for backlinks: the external links to your site found in pages the NeoRank Engine crawled or imported (Common Crawl archives). It states the observed window (first and last observation, UTC), the number of observations, referring domains (exact hosts: www and subdomains count separately), linking pages, anchors, the follow / nofollow / ugc / sponsored split and first/last seen dates. It is a partial sample: zero links does not mean zero links on the Internet. It exports to CSV. Today it is published only on the test environment; elsewhere the section shows “Not measured”.
What are the “NeoRank spam signals”?
A transparent heuristic, computed per referring domain over the native corpus: commercial anchors (fixed FR/EN lexicon) 25 points, sitewide link 20, pages overloaded with outbound links 20, link farm 20, anchor in a different script than the page 10, comment links (ugc) 5. The 0–100 score is the sum of the signals that fired; “See the signals and resolution” opens the resolution panel with every signal (value, threshold, weight), the observed anchors, the linking pages and the steps. Thin content and known-bad domain lists are “Not evaluable” (the corpus stores no page text; no list is downloaded) and count 0: the score is a floor. It is not a toxicity score nor Google's judgement.
Does NeoRank submit a disavow file to Google?
No, never. “Download the disavow.txt draft” produces a draft to review, limited to domains at 50/100 or more that have at least one follow or rel-unknown link; domains whose links are all already nofollow, ugc or sponsored are excluded. It is up to you to check it line by line before any upload in Search Console.
Where do the provider's totals and authority come from?
From the market-data provider's latest reading, retired on 26/09/2026: they are shown as “Historical data — retired provider” with their date. Without a reading they show “Not measured”; no estimate replaces them. The “NeoRank authority score” comes from the public Common Crawl graph (release and date shown) and is never mixed with those historical readings.
Why do some charts mention a “sample”?
The authority-tier, follow / nofollow and extension cards and the “provider's historical sample” table cover the most recent links the provider had reported: a capped sample, not the total. The native corpus is partial too, and says so.
What this page is for — Search performance history plots your clicks, impressions, CTR and average position over time, and lists your top queries, from your Google Search Console connector.
Which period do the figures cover?
The KPIs and the query table cover the last 28 reported days, compared with the previous 28; position is weighted by impressions. The 1m, 6m, 1y and all buttons only change the charts' range. The header's country filter applies.
Why “Search Console not connected” or “no day received”?
The first: link Search Console with the “Connect Search Console” button or on /settings/connectors. The second: the connector works but the first sync has not reported a day yet. At least two measured days in the range are needed to draw a line.
Are all my queries listed?
The table keeps the most-clicked queries within a limit, and says so when Search Console reported more. “Not measured” in a CTR or position cell means there was no impression or ranked position. The table exports to CSV.
What this page is for — Traffic shows your real traffic measured by Google Analytics 4 — sessions by channel, devices, change — and, separately, the retired market-data provider's historical organic traffic estimate.
What do the six top KPIs measure?
GA4 sessions, AI traffic share, average bounce rate (100 minus the GA4 engagement rate) and average duration per visit: GA4, over the last 28 reported days compared with the previous 28. Estimated organic traffic and ranked keywords: the latest monthly estimate of the market-data provider retired on 26/09/2026 (historical), otherwise “Not measured”. This strip is the same on the four views Traffic, Market analysis, Audience and Competitor monitoring.
How is the “AI traffic share” calculated?
It is the GA4 sessions whose source contains chatgpt, openai, perplexity, gemini, claude, copilot or bing chat, over all sessions. Channels (AI, organic, paid, referral, social, email, direct, other) are derived from GA4's source / medium.
Does “Estimated organic traffic” match my visits?
No: it is the retired market-data provider's historical estimate, not your sessions. Your real visits are the GA4 figures. Both are shown separately so they are never confused.
The GA4 cards are empty: what should I do?
“Connect Google Analytics 4”: click the button or go to /settings/connectors. “No days received from GA4”: the connector works but the first sync has not reported data yet. Tables export to CSV. This view has no resolution panel.
What this page is for — Market analysis is meant to map the players in your market on a competitive quadrant. Today, NeoRank has no source for market share, audience overlap or players' growth: the card says so.
Why is the quadrant empty?
Because the market explorer (market size, quadrant, clickstream-type data) is not offered by NeoRank today: no source allows it, and nothing is estimated in its place. The “Market size: Not offered by NeoRank” badge says so.
Where can I see my competitors then?
In Competitor analysis: identified competitors, shared keywords, visibility and AI citations. The traffic KPI strip remains available at the top of this view.
What do “Not measured” or “Provider failed” mean?
“Not measured”: no estimate exists, the market-data provider having been retired on 26/09/2026. “Provider failed”: its last query, before retirement, was refused; the tooltip gives the date and error code. No new query happens: these labels stay until a native source exists.
What this page is for — Audience describes who visits your site. Only the device split is measured (GA4); demographics, age groups and interests have no source in the product.
Why are age, gender and interests “Not offered by NeoRank”?
NeoRank's GA4 connector does not sync demographic or affinity data: these cards say so rather than show an estimate.
What does the “Devices used” card measure?
The share of GA4 sessions by device type (mobile, desktop, tablet), the same as in the Traffic view. Without GA4 connected, it offers “Connect Google Analytics 4”.
Are the top KPIs specific to audience?
No: it is the same six-KPI strip as in Traffic (GA4 and the provider's estimate).
What this page is for — Competitor monitoring is meant to follow your competitors' activity (pages, ads, links). This “EyeOn” feed does not exist in the product yet, and the view says so.
Why is the activity feed empty?
NeoRank does not monitor your competitors' pages, ads and links yet: there is no monitoring feed and no competitor alerts. The “Not offered by NeoRank” badge says so.
Where do I find alerts that are actually measured?
In Observations and alerts: new technical anomalies, Search Console click anomalies and GA4 traffic drops measured on your own site.
Which competitive data is available?
Competitor analysis shows identified competitors, their shared keywords, visibility and AI citations; Keyword gap shows where they are ahead of you.
What this page is for — Competitor analysis positions your identified competitors by the keywords you share, their visibility as read by the retired market-data provider (historical) and their citations in AI engines' answers.
How do I read the bubble chart?
Horizontally: the share of shared keywords; vertically: the provider's visibility; bubble size: observed AI citations. Only competitors measured on both axes are plotted; the others stay in the table, with no invented position. Hover a bubble for its figures.
Where do the figures come from?
Shared keywords, estimated traffic, authority score and links: historical readings of the market-data provider retired on 26/09/2026, dated. AI citations, mentions and share of voice: the last three AI observations. Mentions are counted only for the names your query sets track; otherwise the cell says “mentions not looked for”.
No competitor appears: why?
Competitors came from syncs of the market-data provider, retired on 26/09/2026 (historical readings), or from AI observations: run an observation. “Not measured” on the AI columns means no observation has finished for this site.
Can I be alerted about my competitors' actions?
Not today: there is no competitor alert feed. The table exports to CSV and each row opens the competitor's site. This view has no resolution panel.
NeoRank audit & crawl
NeoRank's own engine, no Google connection needed: technical audit, issues, crawled pages, robots, pages and discovery.
What this page is for — The site audit summarises the latest completed NeoRank Engine crawl: overall health, findings by severity, engine readings (JSON-LD, words, links, language), AI crawler access, on-page recommendations and Core Web Vitals.
How is “Overall health” calculated?
It is the crawl's score, out of 100, computed from the weighted findings of the latest completed crawl, with the change in points versus the previous one. From 80 up the status is “Healthy index”, 50 to 79 “to watch”, below 50 “critical”. Without a completed crawl, the KPI shows “—”.
Where do the Core Web Vitals come from?
From the latest PageSpeed capture: field data (CrUX) when Google has it, otherwise a lab measurement (Lighthouse), with the measured URL and date. Mobile and desktop are shown separately. “Not measured” means the capture does not exist or did not report the metric.
What does an issue's “Resolve” panel contain?
The impact (findings, share of crawled pages, categories affected), why it matters, where the issue is with a before / after, the step-by-step fix, the affected pages (exportable to CSV) and, on paid plans, “Generate the fix with AI”: one AI call on your quota, whose result is marked “AI-generated · to check”.
How do I mark an issue as fixed?
There is no “mark as fixed” button: NeoRank does not close an issue on a click. Fix it, publish, then click “Run the crawl again”: the issue disappears when the next crawl no longer finds it. Re-crawling is included in paid plans and subject to the monthly page quota.
What this page is for — Robots directives shows, bot by bot (GPTBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, ClaudeBot, Applebot-Extended, cohere-ai, Meta-ExternalAgent), whether your site's live robots.txt allows access, and whether an /llms.txt file exists.
Where does this reading come from?
NeoRank reads the robots.txt and /llms.txt your site publishes directly, with a short timeout; the reading is cached for 15 minutes. An unreachable site is shown “Not measured”, never “Allowed”. The syntax is not validated against the full RFC 9309 standard.
What do the presets and status clicks do?
The presets (“Maximum visibility”, “Citations only”, “Strict protection”) and clicking a status simulate Allow or Block: the simulation stays in your browser, nothing is saved or changed on your site. “Back to the values read” cancels it.
What does a bot's “Resolve” panel contain?
Always based on the real reading: status read, operator, user-agent, reading date and HTTP code, why it matters, your current robots.txt group and an “after” that allows the bot while keeping your private lines, then the steps. If the status is not measured, check that /robots.txt answers 200 as plain text and that your firewall or CDN does not block it.
Why is “WAF / bot protection” always not measured?
NeoRank sends no firewall or CAPTCHA probe, so it cannot know whether a WAF blocks AI crawlers. The “Refresh” button is disabled: a new robots.txt reading comes with the next analysis.
What this page is for — The robots simulator checks, for a given URL path, whether each AI crawler may access it according to the Allow / Disallow rules read in your robots.txt.
How do I use it?
Enter a path (for example /blog/article) or use a shortcut: Home, Blog, Contact, Admin, API. Each card says “Allowed by robots.txt” or “Blocked by robots.txt”, with the reason. No HTTP request is sent to your site.
What does the “Simulated ·” prefix mean?
The bot follows a rule you simulated in Robots directives, not the rule read. The simulation changes nothing on your site.
Why is a bot “Not measured”?
The robots.txt was not read, or its rules for that bot could not be passed on (only access to the root “/” is then known). Check that the file is reachable, then run an analysis again.
What this page is for — The generator proposes a robots.txt file for AI engines, built from the directives read and those you simulated.
What does the proposed file contain?
A “User-agent: *” group with “Allow: /” and common exclusions (/admin/, /api/, /private/, /checkout/) that are not checked on your site, one group per AI crawler (a bot that was not measured only gets a comment), a Sitemap line whose existence is not checked, and a note on /llms.txt. Review it before publishing.
How do I put it online?
“Copy the code” or “Download”, then place the file at your site's root (through your host or CMS). NeoRank publishes nothing on your server. The next analysis will read the live file again.
Does the syntax check guarantee a valid file?
No: it says how many directives the parser read and how many lines are unreadable. It is not a full RFC 9309 validation.
What this page is for — Issues and alerts lists every issue from the latest completed crawl, from errors to notices, with their finding counts and their trend from one crawl to the next.
What do “New” and “Trend” mean?
“New” is the change in findings versus the previous crawl (+N, −N or =). “Trend” plots the finding count over the latest crawls. After a first crawl, both columns show “—”: they appear with the next one.
How do I filter?
The chips filter by category (AI search, Crawlability, Content, Meta tags) and by severity (errors, warnings, notices). A finding may belong to two categories.
What does “Resolve the issue” do?
It opens the resolution panel: impact, why, where, before / after, steps, affected pages and, on paid plans, an AI-generated fix to check. The last step is always to run the crawl again: that is what confirms the fix.
Can I export the list?
Yes, as CSV: code, issue, severity, finding count and change.
What this page is for — Crawled pages lists every URL read by the latest completed crawl, with its HTTP status, response time, internal inbound links and issues, and opens a full report per page.
What does a page report show?
Click a URL: HTTP status, response time, main-text word count, internal links in and out, canonical, robots directive, declared language, meta description, the page's issues, what the NeoRank Engine read there (JSON-LD, declared types, answer candidates, question / answer pairs, nofollow / sponsored links) and the heading outline.
Why are some pages highlighted?
4xx and 5xx statuses are in red, and pages receiving one internal link or fewer are flagged: they are hard to discover. Filter by 2xx, 3xx, 4xx, 5xx or “With issues”, and sort any column.
Why does a value show “Not measured”?
The page was not read by the NeoRank Engine in this crawl (for example a crawl older than its activation): run an analysis again. Click depth and blocking by AI crawler are not measured page by page yet.
Are all pages displayed?
The table displays a limited number of rows at once; refine the search or use “Export as CSV” for the complete loaded list.
What this page is for — Pages and discovery combines, page by page, GA4 traffic, Search Console clicks and positions, the HTTP status from the latest crawl and citations by AI engines.
Where does each column come from?
Views, users, average time and bounce: GA4 (last 28 reported days, compared with the previous 28). Clicks, impressions and position: Search Console. Title and HTTP status: the latest NeoRank Engine crawl. AI citations: the last three observations. CSV columns are prefixed ga4_, gsc_ and crawl_.
Which pages are listed?
The most viewed GA4 pages first, then crawled pages, then Search Console pages by clicks, within a row limit. The charts cover the listed pages, not the whole site.
Why does a cell show “Not measured”?
The tooltip says: no GA4 or Search Console row for that page, page missing from the latest crawl, or no AI observation run. The table is empty without GA4 or a crawl: connect Google Analytics 4 (“Connect Google Analytics 4” button) or run an analysis.
What this page is for — The writing assistant is a draft editor that scores your text as you write it: AI citability signals, readability, and the presence of your tracked keywords.
How are the live scores calculated?
“AI citability” counts three signals detected in your draft: an explicit question, a structured answer (list or steps) and a cited source. “Readability” is the Kandel-Moles index (Flesch adapted to French), shown from the first sentence. The “SEO score” stays “Not measured”: the product's score is computed on a crawled page, and a draft is not one.
Where do the “Target keywords” come from?
They are your tracked keywords tied to the site (Search Console, target page, observed position, AI Overview or AI citation). Each is marked “Included” or “Missing” depending on whether it appears in your draft. Without tracked keywords, track some from Rank tracking.
Can the assistant write or publish the article?
No. The AI generation button is disabled: there is no article generation in the product yet. There is no publishing to a CMS either: “Copy” copies your text so you can paste it into your tool.
What this page is for — Content topics lists the themes the content analysis derived from your crawled pages, with the pages covering them and the extracted questions.
Where do the topics come from?
From the content profiles produced by analysing your crawled pages: main topic, subtopics and extracted questions. The “GEO opportunity” badge flags a topic that carries questions.
Why is “searches/month” not measured?
A topic derived from your content has no search volume: only a keyword has one. Nothing is estimated in its place.
How do I go from a topic to an article?
“Write the article in the assistant” copies the topic into the writing assistant's H1 and opens the editor there. If no topic appears, run an analysis so your pages are crawled and profiled.
What this page is for — SEO briefs computes an editorial brief from your own pages: recommended length, intent, answer format, recommended Schema.org markup, H2 / H3 outline and the questions your site already answers.
What is the brief based on?
On the content analysis of your crawled pages and on the NeoRank Engine's readings of the latest crawl (question / answer pairs, declared Schema.org types). Each tile states its basis, for example the number of questions measured.
Why is a tile or the outline “Not measured”?
No page has been profiled yet, no question extracted, or the crawl was not read by the NeoRank Engine: run an analysis again. The recommended outline appears as soon as the content analysis measures a gap on a crawled page.
What do I do with the brief?
It is ready to hand to a writer or an AI: reuse the length, format, recommended markup, outline and “Gaps to close”. This view has no resolution panel.
What this page is for — Local SEO checks the business details your pages declare in JSON-LD (name, phone, address, city, postcode, country) and their consistency. The lower part shows the Google Maps heatmap, which has no source today.
What is actually measured in local SEO?
Only the LocalBusiness / Organization markup your own pages declare, read by the NeoRank Engine during the latest crawl: pages declaring the business, consistent, missing or conflicting fields. It is neither your Google Business Profile nor directories.
Why is the Google Business Profile “Not measured”?
NeoRank has no Google Business Profile connector today: rating, reviews, listing views, actions and local positions are not measured. The “Setup plan” describes the planned steps; it has no button yet.
What does a field's “Resolve” button do?
It appears when a field has different values across pages or is missing on some. The panel shows the values found with example URLs, where to fix it in the JSON-LD, a before / after (the most frequent value — to confirm) and the steps, up to re-running the crawl. With no declaration at all, “See how” offers a LocalBusiness template to add.
What this page is for — Map rankings is meant to show a heatmap of your local positions by zone. No Google Maps reading exists in the product today: the grid shows “—”.
Why is the heatmap empty?
Because NeoRank does not read Google Maps positions: each zone says “Not measured” (“No Google Maps position reading in the product”). The legend is only illustrative.
What is still useful on this view?
The upper part, shared by all local SEO views: the consistency of the business details your pages declare in JSON-LD and its “Resolve” panels.
What would be needed to measure local SEO?
The “Sources needed to measure local SEO” card details it: a Google Business Profile connector for the listing, a Google review feed for reviews, geolocated readings for Maps positions and a directory sync for business details. None of these sources exists in the product yet.
What this page is for — Business profile is meant to manage your Google Business Profile listing. Without a Google Business Profile connector in the product, category, service area and posts are not measured.
Can I connect my Google Business Profile?
Not yet: there is no Google Business Profile connector. The view shows “Listing not connected” and “No scheduled post”.
Does automatic review reply work?
No: “Enable automatic reply” is unavailable, as there is no review feed in the product.
What can I do in the meantime?
Declare your business in your site's LocalBusiness JSON-LD markup: the upper part measures these details, and “See how” offers a template, the steps and a link to the Schema.org validator.
What this page is for — Reviews is meant to read your Google reviews and prepare replies. As no Google Business Profile can be connected today, no review is read.
Why “No review read”?
Reviews come from a Google Business Profile listing, and NeoRank has no connector to read it yet. No rating or review is invented.
Can I generate review replies?
No: the “Generate the AI reply” button is disabled as long as there is no review to reply to.
Where can I see how AI engines talk about my brand?
In AI visibility: the sentiment card classifies excerpts of AI engines' answers that name your brand (positive, negative, neutral). These are AI answers, not customer reviews.
What this page is for — Listings and NAP is meant to check how your business details (NAP) are spread across directories. The product neither reads nor writes these directories today: each is marked “Not checked”.
Does NeoRank sync my directories?
No. No directory sync exists in the product; the directory list is a reference and each stays “Not checked”.
How can I improve my details' consistency right now?
Start with your site: the upper part measures the consistency of the details declared in JSON-LD and offers a “Resolve” panel per conflicting or missing field.
Which directories are listed?
Google Business, Apple Maps, Bing Places, PagesJaunes, Facebook Local, Yelp, Waze and Foursquare, all “Not checked”: the list shows where to check your details yourself.
Actions: advertising, PR & alerts
Advertising and digital PR — what is measured, and what is not yet — then observations and alerts.
What this page is for — Advertising intelligence gathers what can be measured about your paid acquisition: your own Google Ads account's figures when it is connected (read-only connector), GA4 paid sessions and the market CPC of your tracked keywords. The lower part shows competitor ads, which have no source today.
What is measured here?
Paid sessions, paid share and total sessions: Google Analytics 4 (sessions classified in the paid channel) — sessions, not spend. Average market CPC: volume-weighted mean over your tracked keywords that have both a volume and a CPC reported by the retired market-data provider (historical readings) — a market price, not your spend.
Why is the ad budget “Not measured”?
Google Ads connects read-only under Settings › Connectors. Once synced, the tab shows your account's spend, clicks, impressions, CTR, CPC, conversions, campaigns and top search terms. Not connected, those figures are “not measured” and nothing is estimated in their place.
Why does no competitor ad appear?
The product does not crawl Google's sponsored results: no competitor ad is captured. This view has no resolution panel.
The GA4 cards are empty: what should I do?
Connect Google Analytics 4 (“Connect Google Analytics 4” button or /settings/connectors). If it is connected but “reported no session”, wait for the first sync.
What this page is for — Competitor ads is meant to list the Google Ads detected in your sector. The product does not read sponsored results today: the list shows “No ad read”.
Why “No ad read”?
Reading competitor ads is not offered: no crawl of sponsored results exists in the product, and no ad is invented.
Is the top of the view different from Advertising intelligence?
No: same strip (GA4 paid sessions, market CPC) and same cards; only the lower part changes with the sub-view.
How can I still gauge paid competitive pressure?
The market CPC of your tracked keywords gives a market price; Keyword gap and Competitor analysis show your organic competitors.
What this page is for — The ad builder offers a space to prepare an ad from your goal and offer, with a preview that echoes your own words. AI ad generation is not offered yet.
Does the builder generate headlines and the description?
No: headlines and the description are marked “Not offered by NeoRank” and the “Generate the AI ad” button is disabled. The preview only shows what you entered.
Is a URL with UTM parameters created?
No: no UTM tag is generated, and the copy button stays disabled while there is nothing to copy.
Are my entries published anywhere?
No. Nothing is sent to Google Ads or Meta: the Google Ads connector is read-only and NeoRank never creates or changes a campaign.
What this page is for — Google Shopping is meant to read the product ads of the Shopping carousel. No reading of that carousel exists in the product: position, price and merchant are empty.
Why “No sponsored product read”?
NeoRank does not read the Google Shopping carousel and has no merchant feed: no product, price or position is shown or estimated.
What is still measured on this view?
The upper part shared by advertising: GA4 paid sessions and the market CPC of your tracked keywords.
How do I follow traffic from my Shopping campaigns?
With Google Analytics 4 connected, sessions classified in the paid channel appear in the advertising KPIs and in the Traffic view. They are sessions, not spend or revenue.
What this page is for — Digital PR and citations shows the third-party sites that AI engines cite when answering your tracked prompts — especially those cited without your site — to target your PR.
Where do the cited media come from?
From the external sources recorded in the answers of the last three finished AI observations. “Validated citations” counts verified citations; “Domains without your site” the sources cited in answers that do not cite you — your opportunities. “Link opportunities” comes from the open opportunities of the link analysis.
What does “Share of answers” per engine mean?
The share of an engine's answers that cite this media (X %, n/m). It is not a confidence score: no confidence score is computed.
The view is empty: what should I do?
“No AI observation run finished”: track prompts in AI visibility and run an observation (paid plan). If runs exist but no third-party source is cited, the list stays empty until an answer cites one.
Does NeoRank handle press outreach?
No: no media database, no press contacts, no CRM or outreach tracking, and AI pitch generation is disabled. You can write your email in the pitch card and copy it. This view has no resolution panel.
What this page is for — Observations and alerts gathers, newest first, the alerts from your site's continuous monitoring and the results of the AI observations you ran.
Which alerts exist?
New technical anomalies (crawl), Search Console click anomalies and GA4-measured traffic drops (triggered by a session drop of at least 20 %). Each row shows the measurement that triggered it, or “Impact: not measured”. Finished, partial or failed AI runs also appear.
Why does no alert appear?
Alerts exist only with active continuous monitoring (a scheduled analysis for the site): the “Monitoring” KPI shows Active or Inactive. Observations appear when you run AI observations.
What does “See details and resolution” contain?
The alert's panel: severity, open or resolved status, detection and review dates, the measurements (baseline and trigger threshold), where to look (for example Search Console › Performance) and the steps. For a technical alert, the list of new issues opens their resolution panel.
What this page is for — Reports lists the workspace's scheduled reports (name, state, frequency, recipients, last and next send) and leads to creating a new report. The same page groups the Integrations and MCP connector and API tabs.
How do I schedule a report?
“New custom report” opens the scheduling page: name, cadence (every Monday, every other Monday or the first of the month, at 07:00 UTC) and recipients. The number of scheduled reports depends on your plan.
What do recipients receive?
An email with an “Open the report” link that opens the dashboard. If nothing has been analysed yet, the send is skipped.
How do I get a PDF?
“Print this page” opens the browser's print dialog; for the site's full report, use the header's “Report” button then “Print / PDF”. This view itself generates no PDF.
What this page is for — Integrations shows the state of the workspace's connectors — Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 — with their last sync, and the integrations that are not available yet.
Which connectors are available?
Google Search Console (impressions, clicks, queries) and Google Analytics 4 (traffic, engagement, conversions by page). Looker Studio, WordPress and headless CMS, Slack and Shopify are marked “Not available”: no integration in the product yet.
What do a connector's states mean?
Connected, Degraded, Not connected, Error, Pending or Access revoked. A connector in error shows the provider's last code. “Manage settings” or “Set up the integration” leads to /settings/connectors to reconnect.
Does the connector apply to all my sites?
Connectors belong to the workspace; each connection targets a specific Search Console or GA4 property, entered when connecting.
What this page is for — MCP and API connector manages the workspace's API keys and connects NeoRank to your tools (read-only REST API v1) and to your AI assistants (remote MCP server: Claude, Cursor…). Included from the Growth plan; the tab shows the plan, today's usage, the keys and ready-to-copy configurations.
Which plans include the API and the MCP server?
Growth, Pro, Agency and Enterprise. Free, SEO and SEO + AI do not: the tab then shows what each plan brings and leads to the Pricing page. The number of active keys and the requests per day and per minute (per key) depend on the plan and are shown in the tab, on the Pricing page and in the documentation. The plan is checked on every request: after moving to a plan without the API or cancelling, keys stop within a minute (402 PLAN_REQUIRED).
How do I create an API key?
An organisation or workspace administrator picks a name and, optionally, an expiry, then clicks “Create key”. The full key is shown only once: copy it straight away, NeoRank keeps only a fingerprint of it. Other members see the key list (name, prefix, author, last use, status) read-only.
How do I revoke a key?
“Revoke” then “Confirm revoke” in the list: the key stops working immediately. A key also stops when its author leaves the workspace or on its expiry date. Creations and revocations are written to the audit log.
How do I connect an AI assistant?
The tab gives the MCP server address and ready-to-copy configurations: the Claude Code command, the JSON configuration for clients that accept a remote address and headers (Cursor…), and Claude Desktop through the mcp-remote bridge. Six read-only tools: sites, overview, AI visibility, rankings, audit issues, links.
What does the REST API return?
Six read-only endpoints under /api/v1 (sites, overview, AI visibility, rankings, paginated audit issues, links), authenticated only by the Authorization: Bearer header. Each key reads only its workspace. Null means “not measured”, never zero. There are no writes and no webhooks.
Tell every site, with evidence, why it is — or is not — visible on Google and in AI answer engines, then what to fix first. A figure NeoRank shows always comes from a measurement; when the measurement does not exist, the product says so.
Vision
Search no longer happens only on a results page: it also happens inside the answers of ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Grok or Meta AI. NeoRank aims to give one honest, verifiable reading of these three layers — SEO, AEO and GEO — so teams decide on facts rather than estimates.
Objectives
Measure Google visibility (positions, Search Console, technical health) and visibility in AI answer engines with the same rigour.
Tie every figure to its source and date, and show “Not measured” rather than a zero or a disguised estimate.
Turn a finding into an action: resolution panels, affected pages, concrete steps, then verification by the next crawl.
Stay readable for a freelancer as for an agency, in French and English.
How NeoRank works
NeoRank Engine
Our own engine crawls your site and analyses every page it reads natively: HTTP statuses, tags, JSON-LD, links, content, question / answer pairs. It is the basis of the site audit, the crawled pages and the content signals.
Your Google connectors
You link Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 (read-only access). NeoRank reads your real clicks, impressions, average positions, sessions and channels there. Without a connector, those cards show “Not measured”.
Historical market data
Search volumes, difficulty, market CPC, rank checks, results-page snapshots, competitors: this data came from a market-data provider, retired on 26/09/2026. Its earlier readings stay shown, dated and marked “Historical data — retired provider”; a value never read is “Not measured”, with no estimate. Backlinks come from the NeoRank Engine's native corpus (partial coverage).
AI observations
For AI visibility, NeoRank asks your tracked prompts to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and DeepSeek (and to xAI's Grok where it is enabled; otherwise its tile says “Activating” and it is not measured; Meta AI too, where it is enabled) during observation runs, then records the answers, brand mentions and cited sources. Google's AI Overview is not queried (Google has no API for it): its tile shows the manual reading you record with “Check in Google”.
Plans
Free plan: the SEO essentials (its quotas are in the Free column of the Pricing page), with no monthly AI budget; only a one-time free AI snapshot per account measures your visibility in AI engines.
Paid plans: more sites, pages, keywords and members; SEO + AI, Growth, Pro, Agency and Enterprise add a monthly AI budget (the NeoRank Intelligence credits on the Pricing page) for observations and generations, the SEO plan has none.
Paid one-off audit: none is offered today. For a first diagnosis, run the free audit on the home page or create an account on the Free plan; to follow your site over time, choose a plan on the Pricing page.
The prices and quotas shown on /pricing are read from our catalogue when you open the page: that is the only reference.
Your Google connectors are read-only: NeoRank reads your Search Console and GA4 data, writes nothing to your accounts, and you can revoke them at any time. Crawling reads public pages only and honours the site's robots.txt. Data is isolated per workspace and encrypted in transit; no card data passes through our servers. Your rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) and retention periods are described in the privacy policy.
