Getting started

Data sources and “Not measured”

Every figure NeoRank shows comes from a dated measurement. When the measurement does not exist, the product says so instead of showing a zero or an estimate. Here are the sources and how to read their absences.

The sources

SourceWhat it feedsCondition
NeoRank Engine (crawl)Site audit, crawled pages, JSON-LD, questions / answers, internal links, content topics, briefsA finished analysis
Google Search ConsoleClicks, impressions, CTR, average position, queries, countries, historyConnector linked (read-only)
Google Analytics 4Sessions, channels, devices, engagement, AI traffic share, page viewsConnector linked (read-only)
AI observationsShare of voice, mentions, citations, sentiment, third-party sourcesPlan with AI, verified engines, tracked prompts
Google PageSpeed InsightsCore Web Vitals: field data (CrUX) when Google has it, otherwise a lab measurementCapture enabled on the platform

What “Not measured” means

“Not measured” means NeoRank has no measurement for that value: the source is not connected, not read yet, or does not exist in the product. It is never a zero: a zero would mean “measured, and nil”. Hover the label: the tooltip gives the reason and, often, the action that will fill the card.

The absence labels

Search Console not connected / Connect Google Analytics 4
The connector is missing: link it in Settings › Integrations.
Connected, no day received
The link works but the first sync has not reported a day yet.
Not read yet
The source exists but has not been queried for this site yet: run an analysis.
Not reported
The source answered with no value for this item.
Measured data only (column or tile hidden)
Search volume, difficulty, CPC and backlinks came from a market-data provider retired on 26/09/2026. With no measured source, NeoRank hides those columns and tiles (a “Why?” note explains it); historical values stay shown with their date. Nothing is estimated in their place.
Not sampled
A tracked prompt has not been answered by an engine yet.
Not offered by NeoRank (dashed border)
No measurable source exists in the product for this figure; nothing is invented in its place.

Data freshness

  • Google publishes Search Console data with a 2 to 3 day delay: the latest days may be missing.
  • Each Google sync re-reads a rolling 7-day window; the first one also brings back the daily history (up to 16 months of daily totals).
  • Connectors are re-synced automatically, from every few hours to once a day depending on the plan.
  • The audit reflects the latest finished crawl; the AI KPIs, the last three observations.

Reading the charts

  • A day without a reading is a gap in the line, never a zero.
  • At least two measured values are needed to draw a line; otherwise the single value is written as text.
  • A change needs two comparable readings: after a single reading, it stays “Not measured”.

Measurements and estimates

NeoRank always separates a measurement of your site (Search Console, GA4, crawl, observations) from a market estimate. When both exist — for instance a historical estimated organic traffic and your GA4 sessions — they are shown separately and named, so they are never confused.
