Features

NeoRank Research

A public space where a question about search and AI visibility is asked to several engines at once, with a synthesis that cites its sources. It is enabled per platform.

What it is

NeoRank Research takes a question about SEO, AEO or GEO, asks it to several AI engines and shows their answers side by side, with NeoRank's synthesis. Answers are generated by AI and checked by automatic filters; it is not professional advice.

The engines queried

  • ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), Perplexity and Gemini (Google); Grok (xAI) once activated.
  • An engine is queried only if it is verified on the platform, with its cheapest approved model.
  • The synthesis is written by the first available engine among Gemini, Claude then ChatGPT.

This list is specific to Research. Measuring your AI visibility in the dashboard also queries DeepSeek: see AEO.

Usage limits

RuleValue
Question length10 to 300 characters
Questions without an account3 per day (UTC), per IP address
Questions with an accountYour organisation's plan's daily quota (UTC), shown on the Pricing page and in “Plan usage”; it is shared by the whole organisation
Paid plan with an AI budgetEach question is also charged to the organisation's monthly AI budget; once that budget is used up, no new question runs until the next period
Platform capA daily number of questions and budget shared by visitors and the free plan, a separate daily capacity for paid plans without an AI budget, and a global safety cap for plans with an AI budget
Personal dataEmail addresses and phone numbers removed from the question

Quotas and AI budget

  • Two separate counters. NeoRank Research questions are limited by a daily quota (per organisation, reset at 00:00 UTC); on a paid plan that includes an AI budget, each question is also charged to the organisation's monthly AI budget — the same one as AI-visibility measurements, paid Chat messages and, once enabled for accounts, Neo AI.
  • Why “AI budget used up” while questions remain. Sustained daily use can use up the month's budget before the month ends. Research then shows “Your organisation's monthly AI budget is used up” and counts no question for the day.
  • When the AI budget resets. It follows the UTC calendar month, not the subscription's anniversary date: it restarts on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC.
  • Plan without an AI budget (SEO). Its questions, within the plan's daily quota, are covered by NeoRank from a daily capacity shared by the paid plans without an AI budget, separate from the one of visitors and the free plan; if it is reached, Research says so.
  • What to do. Move to a higher plan from the Pricing page; usage (including today's questions) is shown in My account › Subscription. See also the help center.

Publishing pages

An answer becomes a public page only if every automatic filter passes; otherwise it stays an unindexed draft reviewed by the team. The filters:

  • the topic is really about SEO, AEO or GEO, and is not a duplicate of an existing page;
  • at least 600 words and a complete structure;
  • at least two external sources from distinct domains, corroborated; an invented citation fails the page;
  • at least three internal links chosen from the list of NeoRank's public pages;
  • no subject about a third party, no sensitive category, clean content;
  • publication caps per day and per topic.

Every published page exists in French and English, with its publication date.

Chat

Where it is enabled, a Chat tab lets you talk with an engine of your choice (Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Grok depending on availability). Gemini is free within a daily limit per visitor; the other engines are offered as a trial, with a few messages per day.

Using it well

  1. Ask a precise question (“How does an answer engine choose its sources?”) rather than a keyword.
  2. Compare the answers: a point several engines make, with a source, is sturdier.
  3. Track your own brand and category questions in the dashboard to measure your site: Research answers general questions, it does not measure your visibility.
