Features
The dashboard overview
The first page of a site's dashboard. It opens on the most useful action already measured, then sums up where the site stands, each figure with its source, date and scope.
What the page shows
From top to bottom, the overview shows:
- “Your priority”: the most useful finding already measured, then up to three “Your next actions”.
- A single request to connect Search Console, if it is not connected.
- “Your situation”: three tiles, “Site SEO”, “Observed AI visibility” and “Google data”.
- The key indicators (clicks, impressions, click-through rate, position, AI share of voice, AI mentions, technical findings, authority).
- The “Tracked keywords” table.
- “All checks and charts”: a collapsible block holding the AI detail, Google SEO, technical health and the charts.
The header shows the date and page count of the latest crawl (“Never crawled” otherwise), the period picker and the “Export” button, which opens the site report.
“Your priority”
NeoRank neither invents nor recomputes any ranking: the priority takes what is already measured, in this order of sources.
- The site's latest crawl, in the technical audit's order: severity, then pages affected.
- Otherwise the express report of the home page (see the free express check): its main problems, in the order the express check wrote them.
The next actions always come from the same source as the priority, and the scope is written beside it (pages crawled or URL inspected, and date). “See how to fix it” opens the finding's resolution panel.
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| “First analysis running…” | The priority will appear as soon as the crawl has read your pages; the real progress is shown below. |
| “Crawl running…” | A new crawl is running; the priority will appear when it completes. |
| “No finding on the latest crawl” | The crawl found nothing: no action is detected, with its scope. |
| “No usable measurement for this site yet” | Nothing has been measured yet: start an analysis with “Run the analysis”. |
“Your situation”
| Tile | What it shows | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Site SEO | The technical score and finding count of the latest crawl — or, failing that, the home page's express score. | NeoRank crawl, or express check |
| Observed AI visibility | Brand mentions, with the number of runs and AI answers read. | NeoRank AI observations |
| Google data | The number of days with data, and the sync state. | Search Console |
A tile without a figure states its cause as recorded: “Search Console not connected”, “First collection pending”, “No AI query set defined”, “No AI observation started”. No figure is converted into another: a technical score is not a probability of being cited by an AI.
The key indicators
| Indicator | Reading | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Google clicks | Clicks over the chosen period. | Search Console |
| Impressions | Google displays over the period. | Search Console |
| Click-through rate | Clicks ÷ impressions. | Search Console |
| Average position | Search Console average, impression-weighted. | Search Console |
| AI share of voice | Your share of mentions against the competitors cited, over the last three completed or partial observations. While fewer than two brands are named, it is not computed and shows “—”. | AI observations |
| AI mentions | Mentions of your brand in the answers read. | AI observations |
| Technical findings | Findings of the latest completed crawl. | Crawl |
| NeoRank Authority (Common Crawl) | The NeoRank authority score. | Common Crawl link graph |
Share of voice and mentions are explained in AEO; an observation's states, in AI visibility.
Period and country
- The period picker offers 7 d, 28 d, 90 d, 6 mo and 12 mo, or exact dates; by default, the last 28 days with data.
- It applies to Search Console figures only. Without Search Console connected, or without a day received, it is greyed out with the reason.
- The header's country filter narrows the Search Console figures to the chosen country; the “Geographic breakdown” card stays global, since it is the one listing the countries.
The tracked keywords table
It lists the site's tracked keywords, 10 per page: those receiving Search Console traffic first. “See all queries” leads to rank tracking.
| Column | Reading |
|---|---|
| Intent | The keyword's intent; marked “estimated” when it is inferred from the query text (an estimate, not a measurement), “Unclassified” otherwise. |
| Position | The Search Console average (“GSC avg.”); failing that, the latest dated historical check. |
| Demand signal | The Search Console impressions of your site on the query, over the last 28 reported days. It is not a market search volume. |
| Traffic % | The share of the site's Search Console clicks this keyword brings. |
| AI status | The AI engines citing or naming you on a tracked prompt carrying exactly this text; “No tracked prompt” otherwise. |
| Target page | The page you associated with the keyword. |
| Action plan | Opens the keyword's action plan. |
“All checks and charts”
This collapsible block is shown only when it holds something. It gathers:
- AI search (AEO & GEO): share of voice, brand mentions, observed answers and the breakdown by AI engine; each engine shows its state (“No source”, “Activating”, “Answers refused”, “No answer”, “Not verified”).
- Traditional Google SEO: authority score, Search Console clicks, tracked keywords.
- Paid traffic: GA4 sessions whose source / medium is paid (cpc, ppc, display…) and their share. These are sessions, not a budget or a cost per click.
- Site technical health and findings per crawl: errors, warnings and notices.
- Daily click-through rate, Google position ranges (1-3, 4-10, 11-20, 21-50, 51-100), geographic breakdown, keywords by intent, queries that bring traffic, acquisition channels and devices.
The position ranges come from Search Console (each tracked keyword's average position); historical checks are used only when Search Console places none. One source per card, and the card names it. Channels and devices come from GA4.
A new site
While the first analysis runs, or when the site has neither Search Console nor GA4, the page hides empty cards instead of showing “Not measured”: only what is measured stays (crawl, AI observations, the home page's express report).
- The home page's express report is measured once and kept; it is shown in “All checks and charts”.
- If your plan does not include AI, the “Measure my AI visibility (free, once)” button asks 3 questions about your site to at most 2 AI engines, once (see the free express check).
- During the first analysis, its real progress is shown, with the cards it will fill.
Sources and freshness
- Search Console and GA4: copied at every connector sync; Google publishes with a 2 to 3 day delay.
- Crawl: the latest completed crawl; a new analysis replaces it.
- AI indicators: the last three completed (or partial) observations.
The detail is in Data sources. A day without a reading is a gap in a curve, never a zero.
Limits
A method
- Work on “Your priority”: “See how to fix it”, then apply the fix (by hand or with Auto-Fix).
- If the “Google data” tile asks for it, connect Search Console and GA4.
- If “Observed AI visibility” is empty, define your AI prompt groups and run an observation.
- Run a new analysis after your fixes, then compare the indicators over the same period.
