Local SEO
Today NeoRank measures two things for local SEO: what your site declares about your business in its markup, and the local searches that show it in Google. Google Business Profile listing, reviews, directories and Google Maps rankings are not read.
What the view shows
Local SEO (sidebar group “Actions”) has a single view. Only the declared-details card and the local-queries card rest on data; the Google Business Profile listing, Google Maps rankings, reviews and directories show “Not measured” or “Not available”.
| Item | Source | State |
|---|---|---|
| Contact details your site declares (JSON-LD) | Latest crawl, read by the NeoRank Engine | Measured |
| Local queries (Search Console) | Your Search Console property | Measured if connected |
| Google Business Profile listing, rating, reviews | No source in the product | Not measured |
| Google Maps rankings (heatmap) | No geolocated readings | Not measured |
| NAP listings | No directory sync | Not available |
The declared details
The card reads the LocalBusiness or Organization markup of the latest crawl's pages and compares six fields page by page: name, street address, city, postal code, country and phone. It is your site's own statement — not your Google listing, not the directories.
| KPI | Reading |
|---|---|
| Pages declaring the business | Pages declaring the business, out of the pages the engine read. |
| Consistent fields | Fields with a single value on all those pages. |
| Missing fields | Fields missing on at least one page declaring the business. |
| Values in conflict | Distinct values found on the disagreeing fields. |
For each field, the card shows the value kept, or the different values with their page count and an example URL; the Declared field completeness chart shows, field by field, how many pages declare it. When values disagree, the header shows “Details disagree”.
Local queries
With Search Console connected, the Local queries (Search Console) card keeps, over the last 28 reported days, the queries naming a city your site declares or a proximity phrase (“near me”, “nearby”, « près de », « à proximité »). It shows their number, impressions and clicks, then the first 20, each marked “City” or “Near me”.
Cities come from your declared details: without a declared city, only proximity phrases are recognised. Without Search Console, the card does not appear — see Connect Search Console or GA4.
What is not measured
Freshness
- The declared details change with every new finished crawl, whose date is shown under the card.
- Local queries follow the Search Console sync, which Google publishes with a few days' delay — see Data freshness.
A method
- Add complete
LocalBusiness(orOrganization) markup to the home page and the contact page. - Make name, address and phone identical on every page, then run a new analysis until “Values in conflict” drops to zero.
- Connect Search Console and follow local queries: a city where you get impressions but few clicks deserves a dedicated page or a better title.
- Keep these details identical on your external profiles: AI engines repeat inconsistencies (consistent facts everywhere).
